I worked on Sisi's concert as a visual artist and stage designer, commissioned by the Escape Plan label. We have collaborated for a long time on various projects, and I have been involved in Sisi's career since her very first live shows, working as a Visual Artist and VJ.

Stage Design

Sisi is one of the fastest-rising female rap artists in Hungary, which made it a huge milestone when I was invited to design the visuals for her first headline concert at Budapest Park.

Previously, I had created visuals for numerous festival and club performances, but for a Hungarian artist, a first Budapest Park show is always a defining moment in their career.

The artist and the label's brief focused on creating a futuristic stage environment that could accommodate a large number of performers, including musicians and extras. Because of this, the stage design had to be fully interactive and accessible, allowing performers to move around freely throughout the show. At the same time, the production wanted to incorporate as many LED surfaces as possible, so the animations could emphasize the futuristic aesthetic.

Together with the lighting designer, we developed the concept of a large staircase structure built entirely from LED panels. This solution allowed us to fulfill the label's vision while also creating a functional stage element where performers could walk, sit, and interact during the concert.

Due to the limited production budget — which is common when working with a rising artist — we had to make some compromises. The steps were built so that only the audience-facing sides were covered with LED panels, mounted on a truss structure.

On both sides of the stage we added two larger platforms: one for the drummer, and another symmetrical platform furnished with a sofa and stage props, giving the extras more opportunities to interact with the stage environment.

Once the stage concept was finalized and approved by both the rental company and the venue, the project received the green light and the visual production phase could begin.

Visuals

For the visuals, I imagined a forward-looking futuristic world, combining sci-fi aesthetics with strong character elements. The visual universe included robots, aliens, and even a cybernetic version of Sisi herself, all reinforcing the concert's futuristic identity.

Alongside these narrative elements, I created motion graphics and abstract loopable animations inspired by space and cosmic environments.

This project was also an opportunity to experiment with new tools and workflows. In addition to my usual 3D and 2D animation techniques, I started integrating AI-based tools into the production process. One example was using AI-assisted solutions to quickly create lip-sync animations for characters, which allowed complex sequences to be produced within a very tight timeframe.

A particularly interesting challenge was designing the floorset visuals. After completing the pixel mapping, I had to create content for multiple long LED strips that complemented the main screen while extending the visual motifs across the stage.

Several different visual directions were developed for this part of the stage:

FLAME

Flaming stage visuals, where the floorset appeared to be engulfed in animated fire.

GLITCH

Heavy glitch effects, creating an aggressive digital atmosphere.

NEON

Neon-styled visuals, giving the floorset a vibrant futuristic glow.

These variations allowed each song to have a distinct visual identity, while still maintaining a cohesive overall aesthetic.

For larger shows, I also like to incorporate IMAG screens as part of the visual storytelling. Instead of simply showing raw camera feeds, I designed pre-programmed effects, color treatments, and frames that integrated the live camera image into the overall visual design of the show.

The concert received a significant amount of positive feedback for its visual design, and since then I have continued collaborating with Sisi and her team on upcoming shows and new visual concepts.
